Where to Buy VELO in the US: The European Cans, 8 to 17 mg, Not the Ones at the Counter

We get some version of this question by email every week: why does your VELO come in a 17 mg Freezing Peppermint when the VELO at my gas station stops at 7? Because they're two different product lines with the same logo. Reynolds sells VELO in America: a dry pouch at 4 and 7 mg, a moister VELO Plus at 3, 6 and 9, and flavors like Wintergreen and Black Cherry. BAT sells VELO in Europe. That line grew out of LYFT, it's slim by default, and it runs from 8 to 17 mg. We stock the European one.
What we ship, and who each can is for
All eight are $9.99 and were in stock when I wrote this. Our VELO page shows current stock.
VELO Polar Mint, 8 or 14 mg
This is the everyday can: a deep, cool mint with nothing sweet or unusual about it. The 3-dot is 8 mg, the lightest non-ZYN can in the store, and the 5-dot is 14. If you've never had a European VELO, start with Polar Mint, and start on the 3-dot.
VELO Crispy Peppermint, 10 mg
Crispy Peppermint is a steady, clean peppermint bite with a medium cool, in a 10 mg slim. If you use Rogue Peppermint or American VELO Mint and want the same kind of mint a little stronger, this is the one.
VELO Peppermint Storm, 10 mg
Peppermint Storm is Crispy with more menthol: the same peppermint, still at 10 mg. VELO named its four mints like weather forecasts (our post on VELO's mint names covers them all), and Storm sits in the middle.
VELO Freezing Peppermint, 10, 14 or 17 mg
This is the can that brings people to us. Freezing Peppermint is the coldest peppermint VELO makes, and it comes in three strengths with the same flavor at each, so it's the easiest can in the store for moving up in strength (our VELO strength guide explains how). The 17 is on our list of the strongest pouches you can buy online, and it feels like it.
VELO Berry Forest, 10 mg
Berry Forest is mostly blueberry, with raspberry and blackberry behind it and a clean cool finish. It won our berry pouch roundup and came out on top again in the blueberry comparison. It's the best fruit VELO makes at any strength.
VELO Purple Grape, 10 or 14 mg
Purple Grape is grape with a light cool, in two strengths, and it was the gentle one in the grape taste test.
VELO Tropical Ice, 10 mg
Tropical Ice is pineapple and mango with a soft mint finish, a milder take on fruit with ice. It's the closest thing we stock to Rogue Mango or American VELO Tropic Breeze, at a strength people coming from either one can handle.
VELO Wintery Watermelon, 14 mg
Wintery Watermelon is watermelon with the wintery cool the name promises. At 14 mg it's the strongest straight watermelon we stock, apart from Pablo's 30 mg strawberry watermelon, and it placed in the watermelon comparison.
What we don't carry
We don't carry the American VELO line: the 4 and 7 mg dry cans, VELO Plus, or US-only flavors like Wintergreen, Black Cherry, Coffee and Dragon Fruit. If American VELO is what you know, our switching guide matches each of its flavors to the closest can we carry. If Wintergreen is the whole reason you use VELO, we don't have a wintergreen at all. The closest thing we have is White Fox Original, which is pine and eucalyptus rather than wintergreen, and we wrote a separate post about it.
Reading the dots
European VELO prints the strength on the lid as dots as well as a number. In our store, Polar Mint's 3-dot is 8 mg and its 5-dot is 14, and Freezing Peppermint lists its three strengths by number. Buy by the milligrams, not the number of dots, and if two cans seem to disagree, go by the variant name in your cart. Our guide to pouch strengths covers what those numbers feel like.
Ordering
Every can is $9.99, multi-packs cost the same per can, and there's one flat shipping rate per order (the details are on the shipping page). We sell to adults 21 or over only, and our lab reports are on the lab results page.
Quick answers
Is VELO sold in the United States?
Yes, in two versions. Reynolds sells an American VELO line at 4 to 9 mg in stores, and we ship the European VELO line at 8 to 17 mg to adults 21 and over.
What is the strongest VELO?
VELO Freezing Peppermint at 17 mg is the strongest VELO we stock. Polar Mint, Purple Grape and Wintery Watermelon go up to 14.
What do the dots on a VELO can mean?
They show the strength. On our Polar Mint, the 3-dot can is 8 mg and the 5-dot can is 14 mg per pouch. Always check the milligram number on the variant.
Which VELO should I start with?
Polar Mint 3-dot at 8 mg if you like mint, or Berry Forest at 10 mg if you want fruit.
