VELO's Strength Ladder: Same Mint, Three Rungs

Most pouch brands make you switch flavors to switch strengths. VELO had the genuinely good idea of building the same flavor at multiple strengths — same can, same mint, different number. Polar Mint and Freezing Peppermint both run 10, 14, and 17 mg. That's not a lineup. That's a ladder, and it's the most useful tool in the store for finding your actual level.

Why one flavor, three strengths matters

Strength-finding usually goes wrong because people change two things at once. New flavor AND new milligrams, and when it feels off they can't tell which one to blame. VELO removes a variable: the mint tastes the same on every rung, so the only thing that changes is the floor under you. Change one thing at a time — like a scientist, but for your lip.

The rungs

• 10 mg — the cruiser. VELO's default altitude; Crispy Peppermint and Peppermint Storm live here too. An all-day number for people settled in the medium zone.
• 14 mg — the surprise. Four more milligrams on paper; in the lip it's a genuine step, not a shuffle. This is also where Wintery Watermelon sits, and where Purple Grape tops out for the fruit crowd from the Grape Test.
• 17 mg — the ceiling. VELO's top floor trades punches with the heavyweights on the strongest-we-sell list. It is a destination rung, not a starting one.

Using the ladder properly

Two weeks per rung, minimum — a strength needs a real sample size before you judge it. If the 10 disappears by lunch and you're parking pouches back-to-back, take the 14. If the 14 has you setting cans down half-finished, you overshot; step back down. The ladder works in both directions, and nobody hands out medals at the top.
