The Cherry Depth Chart: One Flavor, Six Cans

When the Grape Test ran two weeks ago, the response was immediate and specific: do cherry next. Fine. Cherry is actually the deeper roster — six cans — and it splits into two schools: bright candy-red cherry and dark, serious black cherry. Depth chart time.
The two schools
Red-school cherry is the popsicle and the gummy: sweet, loud, nostalgic. Black-school cherry is darker fruit with an almost cola edge — less candy, more depth. Neither school is wrong. Knowing which one you belong to is nine-tenths of picking the right can.
The chart, bottom strength to top
- ZYN Black Cherry Mini (3–11 mg) — the on-ramp. The most civilized cherry in the store, black school, polished, and the only one that starts at a genuinely gentle 3. If you're cherry-curious, you start here and you know it.
- ZYN Black Cherry Slim (11 mg) — the daily. Same flavor, fuller format, the one that ends up in the most pockets. My pick for an everyday cherry.
- Iceberg Cherry (~12 mg) — the valedictorian of the red school. Pure cherry candy, zero pretense, from the brand whose entire catalog is a candy store. Best pure flavor of the six.
- Pablo Gold Dark Cherry (17 mg) — the strong crowd's cherry. Black school with real weight behind it, and the best flavor-to-force ratio above 14. The Gold tier keeps earning its keep — the Pablo tier guide explains the family tree.
- Pablo Exclusive Dark Cherry (30 mg) — the dare tier. Dark cherry is in there somewhere behind the 30 milligrams. Experienced Pablo users only; everyone else has a Gold for a reason.
- Pablo Exclusive Cherry Cola (30 mg) — the crossover. Half this chart, half the Drinks Menu, all 30 mg. The most fun entry and the least practical daily, in that order.
The picks
- Starter: ZYN Black Cherry Mini at 3 or 6.
- Daily: ZYN Black Cherry Slim, with Iceberg Cherry as the sweeter dissent.
- Best pure flavor: Iceberg Cherry.
- Strong: Pablo Gold Dark Cherry, and it isn't close.
The whole roster's in the fruit collection at $9.99 a can. Next flavor to get the treatment gets decided by whoever argues loudest — arguments accepted here.
