Nicotine Pouches vs Snus: Not the Same Thing
We're called SNUS2GO, but we don't technically sell snus. Everything we carry is a nicotine pouch. People use the two words interchangeably and mostly nobody minds, but there is a real difference, and it takes about two minutes to explain.
The short answer
Snus contains tobacco, and nicotine pouches don't. Snus is ground tobacco leaf, salt and water in a pouch, a Swedish product with centuries of history behind it. A nicotine pouch uses the same format but replaces the tobacco with plant-based fibers that carry purified or synthetic nicotine, plus food-grade flavoring. You use them the same way, tucked under the lip, but what's inside is different.
Why pouches are white now
Snus is brown because tobacco is brown. It can stain, it tastes like tobacco because it is tobacco, and the traditional kind needs to be refrigerated. The all-white pouches (ZYN, VELO, Pablo, White Fox, Iceberg and everything else we carry) dropped the tobacco leaf entirely. White pouches don't stain, they're a neutral base for flavor (which is how you end up with Strawberry Cheesecake as a pouch flavor), and the cans are shelf-stable.
Tobacco-free doesn't mean weaker
People assume tobacco-free means weaker, but it went the other way. Traditional full-strength snus tops out at around 22mg per portion, and Pablo Exclusive is 30mg. Without the leaf, the white-pouch makers pushed strength further than most snus ever went. That's why we keep a beginner guide and a separate page of mild pouches. The format is gentle, but that doesn't mean the strength is.
What carried over from snus
A lot of snus culture came along with the pouch: the under-the-lip placement, sessions of 20 to 30 minutes, going through about a can a week, and the catch lid. Swedish brands still lead the way. White Fox is made in Sweden, Pablo is made next door in Denmark, and ZYN comes from Swedish Match, a company built on snus. The know-how moved over even though the tobacco didn't.

Is ZYN snus? No, ZYN is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch. There's no tobacco leaf in it anywhere.
