What are the best spicy nicotine pouches?
Get Pablo Red if you want obvious chili, ZYN Guava Spice if you want fruit with heat that builds slowly, and White Fox Peppered Mint if you want the driest, most savory kind of spice. Each one comes from a different brand, and there are few enough that I can just go through all three.
Pablo Red: mint first, then chili
Pablo Red is the least subtle can here, which won't surprise anyone who knows the Pablo lineup. It starts as a familiar cool mint, and then the chili comes through underneath and changes the whole thing. It's real chili, not pepper or warm cinnamon. At 24 mg the strength is already a lot, so the flavor didn't need to be dramatic, but Pablo went big on it anyway.
What I like is that the mint keeps the heat from being the only thing you taste. Without the cooling, it could have tasted like a pouch with hot sauce on it. Instead you get a real contrast between cold and hot. If you want a spicy pouch you'll notice within the first few minutes, that's Pablo Red.
ZYN Guava Spice: fruit first, slow heat
ZYN Guava Spice is almost the opposite. The guava comes first, ripe, rounded and tropical, and then the spice climbs slowly behind it. It's slow enough that for the first minute you might think the name oversold the heat, but it didn't. At 11 mg it's well below Pablo Red in strength, which makes the flavor easier to judge on its own. The chili follows the fruit instead of flattening it.
For me, Guava Spice is the best-thought-out flavor of the three. It tastes like someone built the fruit flavor around the heat instead of adding the heat as an afterthought. White Fox Peppered Mint: black pepper, not chili
White Fox Peppered Mint is the odd one, because the heat doesn't taste like chili. You get peppermint, then black pepper underneath it, dry, sharp and a little savory, more like ground pepper than hot sauce. At 12 mg it's about the same strength as Guava Spice, but the flavor couldn't be more different.
White Fox has always made dry, direct pouches, and Peppered Mint fits right in. Look through the White Fox lineup and you'll get the style quickly. There's nothing candy-like about it.
Which spicy nicotine pouch should you pick?
Pablo Red has the most heat overall. If you want fruit first and spice second, get ZYN Guava Spice, which is also my pick for the most balanced flavor. And if you'd rather have pepper than chili, go with White Fox Peppered Mint.
Whichever you choose, stay in your normal strength range and pick the flavor from there. Don't jump several strengths just because you're curious about the chili. Trying a new flavor and trying a new strength are two separate things, and doing both at once makes it hard to tell what you actually liked.
