How Long Should You Keep a Pouch In? (And Other Stuff Nobody Tells You)
This is the stuff that's obvious after a month and a total mystery on day one. Straight answers, no ceremony.
How long does a pouch stay in?
Twenty to thirty minutes for most people, most pouches. The flavor fades first, the nicotine delivery tapers behind it. Past the forty-minute mark you're mostly just holding a damp pouch out of stubbornness.
The better rule: take it out when it stops being pleasant. Some people pull at fifteen minutes, some stretch to forty-five. Nothing bad happens either way. It's preference, not protocol.
Can you reuse one?
You can do anything. Should you? A used pouch has given what it's going to give. Bin it and move on with your life.
What's the plastic bit in the can lid?
A catch lid, a little compartment for used pouches when there's no bin around. Half the people who've used pouches for a year don't know it's there. Now you do. Stop leaving them in cup holders.
How many pouches are in a can, and what does it cost to run?
Around 20 per can depending on the line. Every can in our shop is $9.99 flat, ZYN, VELO, Pablo, all of it, so the math is easy: a moderate three-a-day habit runs you a can a week, give or take.
Where do you even put it?
Upper lip, between lip and gum, slightly off-center. Upper, not lower. Lower-lip parking is a dip habit that followed people over, and it drools. The upper lip holds the pouch still and keeps things tidy.
Does the tingle mean something's wrong?
No. A light burn or tingle for the first few minutes is the normal handshake. It fades. What's NOT normal is feeling sick, dizzy, or sweaty. That's a strength problem, not a pouch problem. Drop a tier. The strength explainer covers this in detail.
Fridge or no fridge?
Unopened cans keep fine in any cool dry drawer. The fridge does extend freshness if you bought deep. Relevant if you grab the 25-packs. We also date-check everything outbound; freshness is guaranteed within 30 days of arrival, so this is mostly a problem for people who stockpile.
Can you have one anywhere?
Legally, more or less, nothing burns, nothing's exhaled, nothing smells. Socially, use judgment. The whole appeal of the format is that nobody has to know. Don't make it a show and the format does its job.
